Benefits of a Night Nanny/ Night Maternity Nurse
Having an experienced night nanny nurse gives parents an opportunity to be able to rest and sleep overnight. The night nanny usually shares a room with the baby. The night nanny can feed and settle the baby and undertake all the usual baby cares. If the mother is breastfeeding, the night nanny is available to support mums breastfeeding. Whether helping mum with positioning and attachment, or simply ensuring that mum is well hydrated and comfortable whilst feeding her baby.
Night Nanny/ Night Maternity Nurse Booking Process
Most of the information required by our agency in order to find you a suitable night nanny/ night maternity nurse, can be found on our Online Parent Enquiry Form.
Ideally it is best to book a night nanny as soon as possible. Night nannies can be booked to arrive shortly after mum and baby arrive home from the hospital. Allowing mum time to rest and recover from childbirth. However we often receive enquiries from parents whose baby is already a few weeks old and the parents are struggling with sleep deprivation or maybe the mother is struggling with breastfeeding and has sore nipples or mastitis. There are many reasons why after a few weeks at home, parents decide that they would like to book a night nanny. The staff at Maternity Mum are trained and equipped to be able to offer emergency night maternity nurses for parents looking for respite. In addition if mums are having any breastfeeding issues such as sore nipples or mastitis, Cheryl is available to offer a remote consultation in the interim before the emergency maternity nurse arrives.
The night maternity nurse booking process is made simple with the help and support of Maternity Mum's experienced members of staff. We have some useful links to help parents who are looking for night maternity nurses.
